The Long Trail
The Long Trail is 273 miles of backcountry hiking along the Green Mountain range. Managed by the Green Mountain Club, the trail was constructed between 1910 and 1930, making it the oldest long-distance hiking trail in the United States and the inspiration for the Appalachian Trail.
Dobby and I traversed the Long Trail together in October of 2018. We started at the Canada border on September 30th and reached the southern terminus at the Massachusetts border on October 26th.
Having learned from our bicycle trip, I made a dedicated effort to journal our experiences in order to detail our hike.
The blog posts born from that journal are available by clicking the button below.
Come journey with us through the Green Mountains.
